The Sound of Music NunsThe Show

AGGS puts on a show every prime year (ex 2001, 2003, 2005). In 2007, The Sound of Music was a great success with almost all of the five show sessions fully sold out. Both the cast, crew and teachers involved worked extremely hard to create a fantastic experience for the audience.  In 2009  we presented Grease again the shows were sold out.  We are still in the process of deciding what our show in 2011 will be!

Stage Challenge 2010

After five years of absence, AGGS returned to the Stage Challenge competition in 2006.  We enter this competition on a bi-annual basis, with 2010 being no exception!

The Stage Challenge® is a unique and exciting opportunity for schools to take part in a dance, drama and design spectacular where the students are the STARS. The result is professional events, staged in some of New Zealand’s top venues. The Stage Challenge® is about having fun while enjoying a 100% drug free experience.

The evidence is clear that this is what the students revelled in when participating in the SUBWAY® 2005 Stage Challenge®! Over 170 schools and over 14,000 students competed in 22 SUBWAY® 2005 Stage Challenge® shows across New Zealand.

Students, teachers, parents and communities worked together helping to prepare the school’s eight minute performance. After many hours of rehearsals and hard work they presented their performance to thousands of audience members across New Zealand. The end result was a night of true inspiration and entertainment in a 100% drug free environment.
