	Welcome to Environmental at Auckland Girls' Grammar. We are a silver Enviroschool and proud of it. This page will let you see some of the things we are doing in this area. This year we are going for Silver again. We are one of several Auckland Secondary Schools exploring the Enviroschools model to see what a Green/Gold Secondary School might look like. We will let you know what we find.

1	Native Gardens We have four native gardens that have been developed over the last few years. These are in different places around the school. Do go and have a look at them and see how they are getting on and whether you can identify the native species planted in them. 2	Dawn Chorus Action Group 2010 Auckland Girls' is one of three schools that are still part of this group. Each school has a team that goes out to Ark in the Park and runs trap and observation lines. The observation is of the number of native bird species and the state of the native vegetation. The trap lines are for rats and possums. Trapping for stoats is done around the edge of the area. 3	Dawn Chorus Action Group around AGGS This year we are continuing to bring the knowledge we learned from the Ark in the Park experience back into school. We are surveying the school grounds for pests eg mice, rats etc and then we are going to start a poisoning programme. Enviroschools Youth Jam link file
